Midway House is a totally NON-SMOKING residency and we take particular pride in ensuring that cleanliness and care are a continuing priority, with many guests extending their stay, or returning time and time again. From their nominations we are delighted to have been awarded ‘RUNNER-UP BEST GUEST HOUSE’ in the York Tourism Awards for 3 years running. If you wish to organise floral arrangements, chocolates and other surprises for that special person, please do dicuss this with us. Our resident's lounge on the ground floor provides a place to relax and meet old or new friends. Perhaps take time to read our extensive range of literature or just sit back and enjoy watching the widescreen television. Our twelve individual bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with all services, including colour TV’s, hospitality trays and radio alarm clocks. They include four poster and ground floor options and ironing and trouser press facilities are available. We are able to offer Doubles, Triples, Family and Twin rooms all of which are en-suite and this combination of rooms means that we can usually cater for most requirements. Two standard rooms are available with shared facilities, a single and a double both of which are of a similar standard but have a reduced tariff, ideal for anyone working specifically to a budget. Your hosts with 40 year's York residency are available to offer help, advice and local knowledge whether it be the City's attractions, directions, or places to dine etc.
Location:
From the A64 take the third exit into York signposted City Centre and go through two sets of traffic lights, Midway House is on the right just 70 yards past the second set of lights. We are 1 mile from the City Centre.
