The Hotel's outstanding interior and location, made it a natural choice for the classic English country house in Alfred Hitchcock's production of "The Paradine Case", starring Gregory Peck, and more recently in the BBC's portrayal of the life of Donald Campbell. The Langdale Chase history book charting the story of Langdale Chase Hotel from 1890 to present is available from reception for a small fee. All the bedrooms are individually and tastefully furnished, some with unique features such as jacuzzi bath, four poster bed and stained glass ceiling roof, most have lake views and all have private bathrooms. The hotel also boasts a unique bedroom. This particularly romantic room is situated over the boat house, where you will be lulled to sleep to the sound of gently lapping water.
