The Old Forge at Totnes provides year-round accomodation in a friendly, welcoming 600-year old stone building with cosy, cottage-style rooms set in a relaxing, almost rural environment close to the centre of the South Hams market town of Totnes - an ideal location for those with business in the South-West, holiday visitors to this delightful part of the country, or simply those taking a peaceful, short break. We have a 4-star rating with both the Visit Britain and the AA, so you can be assured of high quality service and comfortable accomodation. We can also be found in "Which Guide to Best Hotels 2004" and "Which Guide to Best Bed and Breakfast 2004". Our rooms are all en-suite, some having bathrooms. One double room is not en-suite but has its own private shower and toilet. All rooms have central heating, colour TV, radio alarms, hairdryers and many other extras. Our accomodation includes ground floor and family rooms, we have a cottage suite for 2-4 people. The cobbled driveway leads to on-site parking and the coach arch opens into a delightful walled garden. Our conservatory-style leisure lounge, includes a whirlpool spa and opens on to the south-facing patio and garden. Breakfast in the airy, Tudor-style dining room provides a varied menu and includes traditional, unusual, vegetarian and continental fare as well as providing for those with special dietary needs. Our little corner of rural paradise is just a few minutes walk from the shopping centre of the historic market town of Totnes. Located on the beautiful River Dart, many of the other visitor attractions of the South Devon countryside, the Dart Valley, the English Riviera and the moors are all within easy reach.

We are only a few minutes walk away from the River Dart and the shopping and town centre. Ideally situated for visiting the South Hams countryside and beaches, Dartmoor, Torbay and the English Riviera. Have a day trip to the Eden Project. Main line train station ten minutes walk from the Hotel.
