Location:
Tintagel is a magical place with all its myths and legends. This is well explained in the Visitors Ctr by means of colourful panels which deal with all aspects of Tintagel the setting of which has to be amongst the most beautiful coastal views in the country. Indeed the wildlife too is of international importance, the coastline being designated a Special Area of Conservation by Europe. The Avalon guest house is 10 minutes walk away from the Coastal Path and two minutes from the walkway that leads to Tintagel Island, Cove and Merlin's Cave. Two other attractions 5 minutes away are The Old Post Office, a medieval hall house where it was once a Post Office in Victorian times. See the National Trust website and King Arthur's Great Halls where these vast halls tell the wonderful story of King Arthur.
How to find us:
Off the A39 follow signs for Tintagel. In Tintagel turn left at the mini roundabout at King Arthur's Great Halls and follow the road through the village. The road bends right and after about 30 yards you will see our driveway to the car park on the left hand side.
