Location:
Berwick is ideal as a base to explore the borders area with activities and places of interest to suit everybody. PLACES - Nearby there are towns and villages such as Alnwick, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Kelso. Edinburgh and Newcastle are only about 1 hour by car or 40mins by train. SPORTS - There are many golf courses in the area within a half hour travel of Spittal. e.g. Goswick, Eye Mouth, Magdalene, Belford, Kelso and Cold Stream to name but a few. There is also horse riding and other outdoor pursuits near by. Families can also visit places like Holy Island, Haggerston Castle and Berwick holiday parks as a day visitor markets are held in Berwick on a Wednesday and Saturday.
