Open all year. Private Parking. Breakfast is available between 7.00am and 9.00am. We try to use local produce wherever possible. Sausages, bacon, haggis and black pudding from a local butcher. Free range eggs and home made preserves. A range of fruit juice, cereal, muesli, yogurt and fruit on offer followed by a full Scottish cooked breakfast.
Location:
At Balnacraig guests will receive a warm Scottish welcome in a quiet village overlooking spectacular views of the Ochil hills and Wallace Monument. It is an ideal base for exploring the Kingdom of Fife and beyond with Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Stirling all within an hours drive. We are 5 minutes drive from Knockhill Racing Circuit and have ample private parking. Saline is a small village with a post office, shop, church and 9 hole golf course. Dunfermline is our closest city with over 900 years of Scottish history to explore. Abbot House tells the story of past and present. Dunfermline is the last resting place of many Scottish Kings and Queens and well worth a visit. A day in Dunfermline would not be complete without a day in Pittencrieff Park with its children's play area, greenhouses, woodland walks and skating area. Other historical interests nearby include the preserved village of Culross, Wallace Monument in Stirling and Edinburgh Castle.
