Description:
We enjoy welcoming guests to the comfort and tranquility of our spacious and delightful modern home with large garden, which our guests are welcome to explore. As you enter the house, you will be greeted in a large hall/garden room filled with greenery. The guest accommodation is on the first (upper) floor and consists of one double and two twin rooms. The shared bathroom and WC on this floor are for the exclusive use of our guests, as is the large panelled lounge, which contains a colour TV and snooker table. Breakfast is taken downstairs in our dining room. We do not provide evening meals. However, within easy walking distance (about 5 min.) is our local pub, "The Who'd A Thought It", where you will find a friendly atmosphere and tasty food. Alternatively, a 5 minute drive to the east takes you to the charming market town of Marlborough with its wide range of pubs and restaurants.
Location:
Lockeidge is 3 miles west of Marlborough. Turn south from the A4 through the hamlet of Fyfield, pass the school on your right, then first left, up the hill, right at the crossroads and we are second on the left. We are ideally situated as a base for touring, as we are about equidistant (usually about 45 min.-1hr.) from Oxford, Bath and Salisbury. I have compiled 3 1-day itineraries which encompass some of the points of interest within easy striking distance, which I hope you might find useful.
