Country home bed and breakfast in the heart of the Scottish Borders, enjoying beautiful views. Fully refurbished while preserving the original character. Modern Edinburgh apartments with up-to date facilities, WI-FI and parking, central yet quiet. The central part of Ancrum Craig was built in 1722, as a simple farmhouse. The tower and master rooms were added in late 1800’s. Amongst the outbuildings is a much older dwelling, built against the rock face, hence the name ‘Craig’. We have enjoyed restoring and redecorating our home for the last quarter of a century! All guest rooms are en-suite with central heating, TV, Hairdryer and tea/coffee making tray. We operate a no-smoking policy in all bedrooms and the dining room.
Location:
The Scottish Borders may rightly be called the "forgotten" land. In the rush to the Highlands most people hardly give it a glance or a chance. Yet there is so much to see and do, all in a terrific landscape. A mere 100,000 people live in the whole of the Borders area, so you have plenty of room, quiet roads and no parking problems!
