Description:
We are an informal, family run B&B (non-smoking), comprising two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom (all en suite), comfortable guest sitting room with television (Sky connected), video, board games, CD player, local guidebooks, maps and brochures. The sitting room and guest dining room overlook the Loch. Full cooked and/or continental breakfast. Home baking. Fresh local produce is used where possible. Let us know if you have any special requirements, preferences or dislikes. Packed lunch by arrangement. Pets and children welcome. Evening meals by arrangement all year round. Credit Cards not accepted.
Location:
Inverasdale is just over three miles from the village of Poolewe which has a well-stocked licensed grocer’s, two hotels, a café and a heated indoor swimming pool as well as the world-famous National Trust for Scotland Inverewe Garden. The village is an excellent base from which to enjoy the attractions of Wester Ross, notably hill and cliff walking, bird watching, sailing, fishing and marine life. There is a public slipway opposite the entrance drive to Bruach Ard. For walkers and climbers, An Teallach, widely regarded as one of the most impressive mountain massifs in Britain, is about three quarters of an hour’s drive away at Dundonnell, and the Torridon Mountains, reached via Loch Maree and Kinlochewe, about an hour’s drive. A track leads directly from Poolewe into the “great wilderness” of Letterewe and Fisherfield forests. There are also superb coastal walks with cliffs, caves, waterfalls and wartime relics to explore. A variety of birdlife can be viewed from the lochside near the house and otters and seals are frequently seen in the loch and along the coast.
