New Inn House

Description:

Our historic family home with original fireplaces and beams is built in the local flintstone and dates back about 200 years. It was originally three cottages, and for over 100 years one of the village pubs. It was completely renovated and updated when we became the owners 15 years ago. We offer two, comfortable, clean rooms at one end of our house. These two rooms share a luxury shower room. Each room has colour T.V., tea/coffee tray and central heating. Both rooms are accessed by a quaint private staircase (not suitable for elderly or disabled people).

Location:

Ickleton is a charming village with an ancient church dating back to the 11th century. The village takes its name from the ancient Icene tribe whose Queen was Boudicca. Evidence of the Roman occupation is present in the Church and the Roman Ickneild Way is close by. The area offers a good choice of food in many pubs and restaurants.
