Barony House can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people at any one time and we regularly greet single guests on business, couples and families on holiday and whole parties in Edinburgh for weddings and functions, kilts and all! Barony House is a lovely Victorian terraced villa, retaining its traditional appearance with some wonderful original cornice work and elegant high ceiling rooms.
It is located on a main bus route and easily allows guests to access the city in 10 minutes. Leo and Susie have been looking after guests in Edinburgh for more than 20 years and their warm welcome excellent service and delicious home cooked breakfast bring people back again and again from all over the world.
There is no better start to the day that siting in our elegant Victorian dining room and sampling our delicious breakfast choice. Begin with a steaming bowl of porridge made in the traditional Scottish manner or a variety of fresh fruits or juices. There are always freshly baked croissants, rolls muffins and bagels available, also a variety of cereals yogurts cheeses and cold meats.
Then after this taster throw yourself into the serious matter of choosing from our hot food buffet. Succulent sausages, crispy bacon, hash browns, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes then add some tasty haggis and black pudding. We will also cook you fresh organic eggs anyway you want them. Wash all this down with either freshly brewed coffee or tea (decaffeinated or herbal available on request). You still might have room for a slice of wholemeal toast with butter or preserves. Nobody ever leaves our dining room hungry!
