Adrienne and Jack very warmly welcome you to Barn Cottage Bed and Breakfast which is a peaceful barn conversion in the tiny, rural hamlet of WOOLMINSTONE, 3 miles south of Crewkerne in South Somerset. We offer two very comfortable and luxurious en suite rooms. Our King en suite and Twin en suite rooms are tastefully decorated and offer you colour TV/DVD, DVD’s, radio, hairdryer, use of phone, arm chairs and small table, binoculars and a comprehensive hospitality tray. We are ideally situated with panoramic view from both rooms out over the beautiful Somerset and Dorset hills. The ingredients of our prize winning “Breakfast Award” tasty and hearty breakfasts are locally sourced and usually organic. With notice it is easy to accommodate any diets. Weather permitting, you may like to have your breakfast served on the sunny, south facing patio, surrounded by the garden, watching the local wild life including buzzards soaring into the sky. With prior notice we are happy to offer light suppers which are served in your room and / or packed lunches with folding chairs!
Location:
Barn Cottage is wonderfully located in South Somerset, 2 miles from the Devon / Dorset borders. Within a half an hour drive is the spectacular Jurassic Coast, many glorious NT properties eg. Montacute House, Barrington House, Lytes Cary, Mapperton House and Forde Abbey. It is a beautiful area for walking and cycling with the coastal pathway, Liberty and Monarch Walks. Ask us about our “pick up/drop off” service for walkers. Not to be missed are the golden stone villages and the pretty market towns with nationally recognised Farmers Markets and the many attractions of Somerset, Dorset and Devon. Within 15 minutes is Golf, Riding, swimming, lovely little roads, pubs. We can store bikes in a locked garage and happy to dry your wet clothes should the weather turn nasty. Whether you are holidaying, passing through or here on business we will endeavour to make your stay with us really enjoyable.
