Belvedere Guest House

Description:

Imagine yourself on a really beautiful, unspoilt Scottish island, staying at a private home where the owners make you feel like a member of the family. Belvedere was built by a retiring sea captain in 1920. The interior wood finish is of South American mahogany brought to Scotland as ship’s ballast! In the dining room you will sit on Jacobean or Cromwellian chairs to enjoy your choice of breakfast, with several vegetarian options. Five well appointed bedrooms provide a choice of single, double and twin configurations. A spacious lounge features log fires on cooler evenings, although the whole house is centrally heated. Belvedere is in an elevated position, offering unrivalled views across Brodick Bay to Goat Fell, the tallest mountain on the Isle of Arran.

Location:

The Isle of Arran nestles in the firth of Clyde, off the West Coast of Scotland. It is the most accessible of the Scottish islands, being close to Glasgow and Prestwick International airports and well served by frequent boat trains and a modern car ferry. Belvedere is a five-minute walk from the ferry terminal and close to all local amenities, including Arran's new seafront restaurant Arran on a Plate.
