A grade 11 Georgian listed terraced house dating around 1758. We currently have a twin, a double room and a double/twin room all en-suite. All rooms have digital TV, wireless internet, a DVD player, hair dryer and a hospitality tray. We have very recently upgraded and refurbished our African room and our master en-suite room  now features works by Jack Vettriano. From your window, there are lovely views of the River Tweed  and the three famous bridges. You will encounter the town's famous herd of mute swans along with boats, rowers and salmon fishermen. A variety of birds can be observed through the binoculars provided and If you are lucky, you may get to see superb sunsets from your window. Each room has a welcome pack with brochures about the extensive facilities both within the town, and out and about around the stunning heritage coastline of Northumberland. A recent visitor described the room and Guest House as Quiet Quality.



Location:

Located on the Elizabethan walls of Berwick Upon Tweed overlooking the three famous bridges and the river. All bedrooms have spectacular river views. 11 Quay Walls is just 45mins to an hour by car from both Edinburgh and Newcastle. Our location offers superb views of Berwick’s  famous historical bridges. The circuit around the Elizabethan walls is one of the finest in the country, taking in the  views of the river, river mouth and beyond. The military barracks and bastions contain a lot of history going back to the twelfth century. Along the walls you can pick up the trail of L. S. Lowry the artist, who was interested in the way the Elizabethan Walls encircle the town. Other areas worth visiting include Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and the beautiful Northumbrian coastline - ideal for walkers, and also contains organised cycle routes.
