Walk in the footsteps of King Arthur and King Alfred, explore Exmoor – home of Lorna Doone and visit the mysterious Glastonbury Tor, rising out of the Somerset Levels (ancient wetlands) like a beacon. Long sandy beaches and coastal resorts such as Minehead, Weston Super Mare or Burnham-on-Sea contrasts with the dramatic rocky Exmoor coastline.

Somerset is a cider and cheese country – why not see cheddar cheese being made in Cheddar Gorge or visit a Somerset cider producer to get a real taste of the West Country! This is an area with a vibrant arts and crafts scene where many traditional skills are kept alive such as willow basket making which has been a feature of Somerset life for hundreds of years.
