Isle of Coll: Coll lies in the inner Hebrides 10 miles west of Mull and the Treshnish Isles, and is reached by ferry from Oban. It is low lying, with a landscape of sandy beaches, dunes and peat bog, freshwater lochs and rock. Looking in a westerly direction on a clear day gives a 60 mile (or greater) panorama of the Hebridean islands. The Isle of Coll is a stunning wild retreat blessed with a wealth of flora and fauna. Its summer carpet of wild flowers is simply awesome. Also look out for Basking Sharks, sea birds and migrants like the rare Corncrake. For Accommodation please click on to the Globes below. |
