Description: Quiet accommodation in a beautiful Georgian Farmhouse set in a secluded walled garden. This 800 acre working family farm is on the edge of the pretty hilltop village of Great Chishill, the highest point in Cambridgeshire. It is on the B1039 midway between Royston and Saffron Walden. Hall Farm Bed and Breakfast now has wireless internet access in some bedrooms. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, colour TV, electric blankets, hair dryers, clock radio, and wash hand basins. Children are welcome and an occasional bed and cot are available. Location: Many footpaths in attractive countryside with wonderful sunsets. The village pub (just 5 minutes walk) serves excellent food and the natives are very friendly! We recommend reserving a table in advance. There are other good pubs and restaurants within easy driving distance. We are ideally situated for Cambridge Duxford Air Museum. High tec. establishments of Welcome Trust Genome Campus, Melbourn Science Park, and Granta Park, Abington are nearby, and Stansted Airport is 30 minutes away. Wimpole Hall and farm, and Audley End House, together with the old market town of Saffron Walden are delightful places to visit. |
