Description: Hanover House offers a relaxed, informal atmosphere within a gracious setting. It has spacious double and twin bedrooms with private or ensuite bathrooms and an elegant drawing room, all with pleasant outlooks. The drawing room offers television, music, books or a DVD of your choice. Another inheritance from our Suffolk farmhouse is the farmhouse-style cooked breakfast made from locally sourced produce mostly with organic ingredients, although most tastes are catered for including Continental and vegetarian. Our guests are offered complimentary afternoon tea on arrival. Location: Hanover House is located on St George's Road, on the western side of the town centre with excellent access to the M5 (Junction 10). Hanover House is a gracious historic Grade II-listed early Victorian house built in 1848 in the Italianate style with elegant Regency-style interiors. It is superbly located both centrally for Cheltenham, just off the fashionable Montpellier and Promenade with their high-quality shops and stylish restaurants (2-minutes walk) and for the racecourse and Cheltenham Spa railway station (approximately 1.5 and 0.5 miles respectively). The house is sited in the secluded former York Terrace, now part of St George's road, a wide tree-lined avenue, all within the Cheltenham Bayshill Conservation Area. The location offers good off and on-road parking, and is adjacent to the Royal Parade and the Cheltenham Ladies College. The coach station is within 5 minutes walk and the railway station is a pleasant 800 yard walk along the tree-lined pedestrianised former Honeybourne railway branch line running adjacent to Hanover House and along the banks of the River Chelt. |
