Description: All our bedrooms benefit from a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, radio/alarm, hairdryer and a private bathroom or en-suite. Breakfast time is flexible and special diets can be catered for with prior notice. Evening meals are not provided, although there is a local village pub providing good food within walking distance and several other highly recommended establishments close by. We are a non-smoking household (we do have a nice garden and a covered porch if you are desperate!) and we do not usually take children under 14 years old. We look forward to a visit from you and can promise a warm welcome and a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, whether it be for a night or for a week. Location: A warm welcome awaits you at our traditional stone house which is situated on the edge of the village, with lovely views across the meadowland to the Cotswold hills. The village of Alderton is hidden away from main roads, nestling under Alderton Hill (also known as Dumbleton Hill to those living in Dumbleton on the other side!). There is a mixture of housing with many old beamed cottages. We have a lovely Norman church, our own junior school, pub, post office, stores and are central for touring and many places of interest. |
