Description: Craigdene is a lovingly restored Georgian Town House in the heart of the East Neuk. All rooms have private or en-suite facilities. Bedrooms are large, airy and furnished with antiques. Craigdene is open all year and a warm welcome awaits all, including those with special dietary requirements. So, whether a biker or on business, a walker or a twitcher or just someone looking for a truly relaxing retreat we look forward to welcoming you soon. Looking South from Craigdene, visitors can glimpse the Firth of Forth and the hills of East Lothian beyond. Elie's blue-flag beach, famous for its miles of clean golden sands and safe bathing is a five minute drive away and, in its sheltered bay, caters for watersports enthusisasts experienced and inexperienced alike with a dedicated watersports centre.

Location: Birdwatchers are also captivated by the variety of breeds living around Kilconquhar Loch and Barnyards nature reserve, both of which a few minutes walk from Craigdene, and a few hundred yards from Kilconquhar Castle. Fife is a golfers paradise, and Craigdene is a perfect central point for accessing the Kingdom's more than 40 courses. The nearest, Charleton, is 800 metres away and St Andrews is 9 miles away - as is the reputed new course at Kingsbarns. Colinsburgh is 2.5 miles from Elie and is ideally situated for walkers, with the Fife Coastal Path and the Balcarres Estate on its doorstep, and for cyclists and birdwatchers with Kilconquhar Loch and Barnyards nature reserve less than a mile away down a quiet country lane. Colinsburgh has its own golf course at Charleton, made famous by George Bush senior and Sean Connery, and is 9 miles from St Andrews and a further 40 golf courses are all accessible in less than a 30 minute drive.
