Description: Bucks House is a beautiful Grade II Listed building of Historical Interest. It was built in 1510, apart from the Georgian sitting room. It is set in the middle of a medieval conservation village, on the village green. The house is furnished with antiques, oriental rugs and works of art. All our rooms are individually and comfortably designed, with armchairs, bathrobes, tea/coffee trays, toiletries and hair dryers. The whole house has secondary double glazing, so is very quiet. Bucks House is perfectly situated for a country weekend or mid week break, being only an hour from the east side of London. The Suffolk wool towns of Lavenham and Long Melford are half an hour and Finchingfield, thought to be one of the most beautiful villages in England, is two miles. The High Barn music venue is five minutes walk, and we are close to Spains Hall, Cressing Temple, Towerlands Equestrian Centre, Leez Priory, Castle Hedingham, Thaxted and Saffron Walden.
