Description: The pleasantly decorated and furnished accommodation comprises: Double/Family Room. This large room with washbasin has an attractive view to the distant Cainsmore mountains. Extra beds can be added for small children. This room has been completely redecorated and has all new furniture. Single/Twin room. Bright and south facing. Each room has a radio alarm clock plus tea / coffee making facilities. Rooms share the bathroom facilities plus second toilet. The spacious resident's Lounge / Dinning Room is a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Although the cottage is centrally heated the cast iron stove in the stone fireplace provides a cosy, restful warmth for the autumn and winter evenings. Guests can use the TV / VCR and Radio / CD or relax with a book from our wide-ranging collection. Please note that we have a no-smoking policy throughout the cottage. Room price includes a full Scottish breakfast (vegetarian option available) served at a time to suit your holiday plans. We cater for vegetarian, celiac or any other dietary needs. An excellent 2 or 3 course home-cooked evening meal is available on request. Helen has gained a reputation for the high quality of her cooking. Good food needs good quality ingredients so whenever possible we use our own home grown vegetables, those produced by our local organic grower or products promoted as part of the Savour the Flavours initiative.

Location: Experience for yourself the tranquillity of rural Galloway this year. The broad rolling fields around the cottage and its peaceful atmosphere make this a wonderful place to unwind for a short break or longer holiday. Whether undertaking an active holiday of walking, cycling, fishing, golfing or may be something more relaxing such as exploring the history, beautiful countryside and beaches - there is something for everyone in this lovely corner of Scotland.
