Description: Balyett is a late Victorian house which enjoys a luxuriously large interior and is decorated to a high standard in keeping with the traditional decor of this Victorian house. We have a family connection to Lakeview Guesthouse in Stranraer, and likewise prides itself on a high standard of guest accommodation. There is Private off road parking for all vehicle types. Balyett now has wireless Internet access. Bedrooms - All our bedrooms are spacious and decorated with a tasteful mix of antique and modern furniture, all 3 en-suite bedrooms are non smoking for the comfort of our guests with views overlooking Loch Ryan or adjoining countryside. Each room is centrally heated and equipped with colour television hairdryer tea and coffee, and decanters with sherry for a nightcap. A cot and high chair is available. Guest Lounge - Relax and admire the views at any time from our large lounge overlooking Loch Ryan with the Ferries passing by as they sail to and from Northern Ireland, or to simply watch television or a video, by the log fire that we light on colder days. Dining Room - Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9.30am, and includes fruit juice and cereals, followed by a full cooked breakfast with toast, coffee or tea. Special diets and an early breakfast can also be catered for, by prior arrangement. We are happy to accept guests who arrive late in the evening, or in the early morning from the Stranraer or Cairnryan ferries, and we offer a pick up / drop off service for guests arriving by train, coach or ferry along with walkers doing the Southern Upland Way. For families and groups who want to stay together, we can offer an alternative, staying in our family cabin; Featuring one double bed and 3 singles, shower, toilet, kitchen and seating area, the cabin with heating when required, is ideal for anything from a one night to a long term stay. There are Ducks and Horses for children to feed and guests receive a daily breakfast basket consisting of cereals, yoghurts, fresh crusty bread, tea, coffee, fruit juice and milk.

Location: This Scottish Tourist Board 3 star graded Stranraer Bed and Breakfast accommodation has a magnificent seafront location, overlooking the coast where the ferries pass by. A five minute drive from Stranraer Ferry Port and train station, and a six minute drive to P&O Ferries Cairnryan. Being within walking distance of the Stranraer ferry terminal and only a few miles from Cairnryan, many guests during their stay take a day trip to Belfast from Stranraer or Larne from Cairnryan. Nearby Gardens include Glenwhan Gardens at Dunragit and Logan Botanical Gardens which are en route to the Mull of Galloway, setting for the BBC drama "Two Thousand Acres of Sky".
