Year round accommodation in a friendly and welcoming historic, 600 year old stone building with cosy cottage style rooms.

Set in a relaxing, almost semi-rural environment.

Ideal location for business people, holiday makers and short breaks.

All rooms have en-suite facilities, television, beverage trays and many extras. There are ground floor and garden rooms, family rooms, a cottage suite suitable for up to six people; the Courtroom has a private roof terrace.

Enjoy our lounge, conservatory and delightful walled garden; relax in our soothing hot tub. On site parking.

Excellent breakfast menu with traditional, vegetarian, continental and special diets. Children welcome.

You can still visit the ancient Blacksmiths Prison Cell of yesteryear. En-suites, conservatory, licenced, wireless broadband and garden.

We are only a few minutes walk away from the River Dart and the shopping and town centre. Ideally situated for visiting the South Hams countryside and beaches, Dartmoor, Torbay and the English Riviera.

Have a day trip to the Eden Project. Main line train station ten minutes walk from the Hotel.

Home cooked breakfast and morning coffee are served in the bright and airy, tudor-style dining room and conservaatory where there is plenty of space to relax with family or friends.

The hotel provides a full English breakfast or alternatively you could choose a lighter, continental or vegetarian meal, or perhaps just cereal and fruit.

We are happy to cater for special dietary needs but would welcome notification of this requirement in advance.

For your evening meal, Totnes has a wealth of quality eating establishments ranging from lively pubs to gourmet restaurants covering a wide range of traditional, light or ethnic menus.

Totnes is close to the main M5/A38 West Country trunk route - exit at Buckfastleigh on to the A385 or at South Brent on to the A385. Or from Torquay and Paignton a short drive along the A385 takes the visitor directly to the centre of Totnes.

Totnes station is between Exeter and Plymouth on the main line from London Paddington to the West Country. Journey time from London is approximately 4 hours on the fastest service.
