Description: Stepps House, is a grade two star listed medieval 'hall house' still retaining many of its original features, huge fireplaces, flagstone floors a hand painted oak panel and early examples of ornate plasterwork, all this under a cosy thatched roof and set in pretty gardens. It is close to the river and sea, nearby there is a golf course, sailing, riding, fishing and lovely walks.

Location: From London. A3, 303, turn off for Ilminster-Chard-Axminster-Axmouth (B358) Axmouth is 5 miles from Axminster(carpets!!) and is at the mouth of the river Axe, between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. It is a very pretty and small village with two pubs, both serving good home cooked food and real ales.
