Description: Bongate House was built about 1760, in the style of many large farmhouses of that period. Over the years it has been extended, until now it is quite a sizeable property. We have nine bedrooms, comprising a mixture of double-bedded, twin bedded and single-bedded rooms, five of which are en-suite. They are all pleasantly decorated, and have colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. In addition, some rooms can accommodate families. Location: Bongate House offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in a fine Georgian House on the outskirts of the attractive town of Appleby-in-Westmorland. The house has extensive gardens with fine views over the River Eden and Appleby Castle. |
