Description: John and Sandy Reynolds invite you to come and stay at their lovely farmhouse near Newcastleton in the Scottish Borders where you will receive a warm and friendly welcome in a home from home. Sorbietrees has spacious and comfortable double and twin/family rooms with a choice of en-suite (with super king bed and luxury bathroom) private or shared facilities (all can be used as singles) with views over the surrounding fells and woodland. The rooms are attractive and spacious each having colour TV/DVD player, clock radio, hospitality tray and ample wardrobe and cupboard space. In addition we have a very comfortable guest lounge with log fire where you are welcome to sit and watch television, read (we have a selection of books which you are free to borrow during your stay) to play card or board games or just relax. Guests are also welcome to sit on our patio and enjoy the scenery and wildlife or to explore our grounds at their leisure. We have secure lock-up for bicycles and drying facilities for outdoor clothing. Location: Sorbietrees Bed and Breakfast, a large stone farmhouse - originally boasted an estate of approx. 4000 acres but now stands in just 22 acres, near Newcastleton in the Liddesdale Valley, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, spacious comfortable bedrooms, log fires, a generous choice of breakfasts and a great starting or stop off point if you are on a walking or cycling holiday, or just want to relax. We also offer B&B for horses, either stabled or at grass, so why not bring your horse for a few days holiday and explore our fantastic riding along quiet country lanes, forest tracks and moorland with spectacular views and abundant wildlife. Newcastleton (also known as Copshaw Holm) with its broad Georgian streets and open squares was purpose designed and built from scratch by the Duke of Buccleuch in 1792. |
