Description: We invite you to enjoy a stay at Daviot House, a traditional Victorian terrace house built in 1865 complete with some original Stained Glass windows. It has five comfortably furnished bedrooms all en-suite, with colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Linda prides herself on her home cooking and supply’s an excellent full Scottish breakfast or something much lighter fruit, cereals, yogurt also a Vegetarian option. She is also a member of "South Ayrshire" Golf-Advance Tee Booking Service and is happy to arrange golf for you. Location: Daviot House is a pretty and friendly family-run guest house one minute from the popular seafront of Ayr and a short walk from the town centre. This corner of the world is also a mecca for golf enthusiasts with over 30 fine courses from which to choose, including Old Prestwick, which initiated the first ever Open in 1860. Also Royal Troon and Turnberry, both of which still host golf's premier Championship every few years. No trip to Ayr is complete without a visit to Burns Cottage, birthplace of Scotland's famous poet, and the "Burns National Heratage Park", a variety of attractions dedicated to his life and work. Other historic sights in the area include Culzean Castle, with its magnificent Robert Adam interiors. Ayr boasts Scotland’s finest Racecourse and offers many other activities such as ice-skating, bowls, swimming, restaurant, pubs, theatre, cinema and nightclubs. Glasgow is less than one hour away by train or car, and Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and the Isle of Arran are all suitable for a days outing. |
