Drumgesk B&B

Description: Drumgesk has a family suite and a double-bedded room. Both have ensuite bathrooms. The family suite consists of a double-bedded room and a room with two single beds and two bunk beds. Both bathrooms have power showers and the bathroom of the Family suite also has a bath. The beds are brand new, and I am told, very comfortable. I have feather pillows and duvets, although synthetic filling is available for those with allergies. (Please indicate this when booking if it is needed). Both rooms have a view over the attractive cottage garden. All are centrally heated but have controls in the rooms. Being a modernised, enlarged cottage, the bedrooms are in keeping with the house, and they are very comfortable and attractive. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a hair dryer. Clothes drying facilities are also available.

Location: Royal Deeside offers a wide range of attractions for all visitors. The fascinating Castle Trail takes in many of the National Trust for Scotland properties, castles and gardens, whilst the Whisky Trail, comprises all the distilleries of the Northeast. The newly established Cairngorms National Park is within a day's excursion distance. Drumgesk is the ideal base from which to explore Eastern Scotland or the magnificent Highlands. The River Dee is internationally renowned for its Salmon and trout fishing. There are varied types of golf courses up the valley from the coast of Aberdeenshire and its links courses, to the source of the River Dee and all the varying courses along its banks and in its nearby hills. Courses challenging to both novice and experienced golfers alike. Gliding and orienteering are also available nearby.
